Thanksgiving is next week and it's definitely time to nail down your menu for the big day! One item that is a must have on the table is turkey, which sometimes can be a little intimidating when you are dealing with the whole bird! That's why I created a recipe that anyone can make using turkey breast cutlets! Not only is this recipe easier and less time consuming than cooking a whole turkey, but it's also a fun new take on the main course that your whole family will love! My mushroom and bok choy stuffed turkey cutlets are the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving menu and I can't wait for you to make them!
It's official we are in countdown mode until Thanksgiving and I am planning the last of my menu as we speak! Of course there will be turkey, sweet potatoes, and other indulgent foods so I always like to balance those dishes out with a few lighter sides as well! I'm all about a little balance at the table so I can feel good about indulging on a few of my favorites! My apple, kale, and pomegranate salad with apple cider vinaigrette is the perfect salad to add to your Thanksgiving menu this year and everyone will love it!
Um guys...Thanksgiving is two weeks away. What the what? How did this happen because just yesterday it was Halloween. Every year without fail after Halloween rolls around and then the year seems to disappear right in front of my eyes. It is actually kind of sad because this is absolutely my most favorite time of the year. For real, I live for the holiday season! I would already have my tree up if my hubby would allow it, and if we were going to be in town for Thanksgiving to enjoy it! I will tell you that whatever your plans happen to be for Thanksgiving this year, you should put this dry brined brown butter and sage roasted turkey on your list of things to make!
Happy Monday friends! How was your weekend? Our was really good, but it went by so so fast! We did however celebrate the Astros heading to the World Series, which my dad and hubby are headed to today! I am not a huge "watch on tv" sports girl, but I love going to games, so I'm slightly jealous! I think it's partly due to the fact that I use it as an excuse to eat hot dogs and nachos and justify that it is a mandatory thing when one is at any type of sporting event! I will say though, on the opposite end of the spectrum, that anytime Canean is out of town, I love getting to fix girly meals that he wouldn't be thrilled about! I tend to eat way lighter than when he is home for this reason! Recipes like my brussel sprout, apple, and fennel salad with toasted walnuts and parmesan is one that I usually serve as a side, but tonight it's going to be the main meal for me!
Happy almost 4th of July guys! We just got back from the beach yesterday and I am super excited that this week is a holiday week to help me ease back into the swing of things. I am trying to get my mind out of vacation mode and back into working mode after a week relaxation! And while I am trying to get back into the grind around here, one thing is for sure I will be lighting up the grill for the 4th and one of my favorite recipes is definitely going to happen! My easy pork rib marinade is the perfect recipe for fail-proof delicious ribs that would be perfect for your BBQ tomorrow!
