Have you ever had a guava? I had my first one in Costa Rica almost ten years ago and fell in love with their unique flavor, that is hard to describe until you taste one! While we were in Hawaii a couple of weeks go, my love for the fruit reawakened with all of the guava that was readily available to us wherever we went! I knew I needed to find some when we returned home! While it is hard to find the pink variety here in Texas, I was able to find the white flesh variety at my local grocery store! Both are delicious by the way, so I snagged a bag of them! I used them to create my guava caipirinhas, which is a twist on one of my favorite Brazilian cocktails!

Summer is in full swing and there are so many things I love about this time of year. With summer officially arriving less than a month away, I am gearing up for all things parties, cocktails, and a beach trip with my family at the end of June! Happy Thursday guys! One more day to get through until the weekend and I am already dreaming about refreshing cocktails because it has been getting hotttt y'all! And when the weather is hot outside there are only two things that sound good and those are being near a body of water and/or drinking a refreshing cocktail. Let's be honest, I'd prefer to be drinking a refreshing cocktail by that body of water, but I'll take either or right now! One of my favorite simple and refreshing cocktails is a screwdriver and I made it even more refreshing by creating a frozen version that is amped up in flavor! St. Patty's Day is tomorrow and while I would like to say we have some super exciting plans to celebrate, really I'd just be lying. We do have plans on seeing friends over the weekend, but I can guarantee you that it will all be extremely chill, which is right up my 33 year old alley if you know what I mean. But because I love any good reason to make a cocktail, I will be celebrating through my beverage of choice, which will most definitely contain alcohol.
