Homemade pizza is always a good idea if you ask me. We regularly have pizza night at our house and one of my favorite ways to make a pizza that is always delicious is to bake it in a cast iron skillet. Baking your pizza in a skillet ensures your crust is crispy and perfect every single time. I have a few favorite ways to top it, but a pizza that will quickly become a favorite in your house is my spinach artichoke pizza. This recipe for spinach artichoke pan pizza is going to quickly become one of your new favorite pizza recipes that you make over and over again.
Cauliflower happens to be one of my favorite vegetables, especially when roasted. It takes on a whole nutty and caramelized flavor that truly makes it irresistible. And while I genuinely love cauliflower, I am usually not a fan of a cauliflower crust pizza, and prefer my pizza to be the real thing if I am going to enjoy it! I do love coming up with ways to satisfy my pizza cravings throughout the week though when I am trying to eat lighter which is why I created this delicious cauliflower sheet pan meal. This recipe for roasted cauliflower “pizza” bake is one that you are going to be making over and over again.
Pizza night is a regular occurrence in this house and I love switching up flavors to based on what I have in the refrigerator and what is currently in season. Fall is the time when all squash varieties become abundant and I find myself with multiple varieties on hand at all times trying to decide how I will cook them up. Personally I love them just roasted with olive oil, salt, and pepper, but from time to time I like to switch things up. Using roasted squash varieties on salads, in pastas, to make sauces etc is a fabulous way to “fall-ify” any dish! This recipe for roasted delicata squash with prosciutto, and goat cheese pizza is quickly going to become your new favorite Friday night pizza tradition.
Earlier this week I shared my favorite homemade pizza dough recipe with you and it got me thinking that you might also want me to share my favorite easy homemade pizza sauce recipe too. After all if you are going to make pizza, knowing how to make your own pizza sauce with pantry ingredients will probably come in handy! There have been so many times where I have decided to make pizza on a whim and then I don’t have any pizza sauce in the pantry. This led me to start making my own pizza sauce with ingredients I always have on hand! And I have to tell you that after making my own sauce, I rarely use the store bought kind because my homemade version is so much more delicious! Homemade pizza sauce is just what you need to take your pizzas to the next level and I am going to show you just how easy it is.
Pizza night is a weekly occurrence at my house and something that my family always looks forward to. Beyond the excitement of pizza, because hello, PIZZA…it’s the process of making the pies together that makes it extra special. I’ve been letting my son get involved in helping me make the dough and prep the ingredients since he was about two and he takes such pride in helping me roll out the dough and top the pizzas with all of his favorite toppings. It’s a simple but sweet family tradition that we will continue for years and years to come. Homemade pizza dough is actually quite easy and I have a recipe that I have been using for years that I am finally sharing with you after many requests from all of you! My easy pizza dough will have you feeling like you are at your favorite pizza shop right in your own home any night of the week.
They say summer is officially over after Labor Day, but the 100 degree heat is making me a little confused about it all. Everyone (and by everyone, I mean people on social media) is all "oh the crisp mornings" or "broke out my boots today" and I'm all like "I still have boob sweat from walking into the grocery store." Sorry...was that a little TMI? But for real, I'm feeling like summer is still in full swing in Texas and so I'm holding on a little longer to things like fresh corn on the cob which happens to pair perfectly with shishito peppers, so if you haven't tried them, here's your chance! My easy corn and shishito pepper pizza is maybe the easiest pizza you are ever going to make and it just so happens to be delicious too!
